... LEADING TO TOMORROW

I WANT MY GRANDPA
..
We have been at war since 1974 and no one can figure it out!
Take a look around the news; do a news search on
Google for Menchaca and
Tucker and see what you find. Actually see what you DONT find. AP and UP brought it home and local papers and
news shows were quick to bring this atrocity to their respective public, but the major
news media did a basic report and then left! Did
a quick about face and double-timed out! One
even hinted that this massacre would not have happened if President Bush would not have
sent and then kept troops in Iraq. Can any
responsible person, anyone in good conscience, compare this atrocity to Abu Graive or
Guantonamo
to our country helping to bring FREEDOM to a very oppressed people
fighting more people who would put them into servitude all over again, if but given
the chance? I hate it!
It took
me days to find out what really happened (I watch to much commercial TV news I guess). A Marine friend of mine forwarded an email. My first reflex was horror, sorrow and tears
filled my eyes (email below but be prepared). Now
friends will tell you I am a no nonsense, non emotional, lets get the job done,
A type of guy, but as I age I find tears come more often, and I hate it. Tears
at the Military funerals I attend as part of a Marine Corps League Memorial Team, tears as
I read books about sacrifices others have made, tears when a performer on stage takes time
to THANK veterans for their service
some with emotion but always sincerity. But I hate it!
My next
reflex was to swear and cuss like a young Marine caught between a rock and a hard place. Thoughts of reprisals that raised the hair on my
very own neck, conjuring up yet more horrible things to do to those that are capable of
these un godly assaults on humanity. Yes, I
am afraid it is in there somewhere, lurking about as it were, and I have always known it
but kept it in check! I hate it!
Then,
with a hard burn in my heart, came depression and despair.
I realized that most of my countrymen and women just dont care about
the burden we find ourselves in. Sure they
feel badly about the deaths and the American public wanted reprisals for 911 but DO NOT
understand what that meant. It is not our war, they are not our people, it is none
of our affair
SHOUT the news media
we have important needs right here in the
USA! Attacked some 30 times (see attach
listing below) by Moslem Terrorists and we still dont get it! They are as bad as any of the blood letting SS
troops of the 3rd Rich, and their goal is to wipe us out! It cant be any clearer than that.
I heard
these very words before, when I was but a pup and Grandpa was telling the same story about
WWII. He said Americans at the time had those
feelings and were strongly opposed to involvement in Europe. But here is the rip
the Other Part of the
Story! He went on to say, But once
Delano (a negative cut using the presidents middle name) took us there, we linked arms and
massed to support our country and our military men and women. Had we not done that,
history has shown that our country would most likely have suffered dearly, for as sure as
we are sitting here Teddy, those tyrants would have next turned their cannons on us.
I tried to pay attention but back then they were words
I listened and
tried to understand, but I was approaching my teen-age years in a very safe, middle-income
neighborhood of the early 1950s. Today
they bring tears to my eyes
and I hate it!
We didn't
talk much, but when we did ...
I WANT MY
GRANDPA! ;-(

HERE ARE DETAILS NOT REPORTED BUT LEAKED
No one
has provided any specifics, but what has leaked out is bad enough: bodies cut apart while
they were living, hearts cut out, eyes gouged, sex organs cut off and stuffed into body
orifices, limbs cut and twisted, who knows what else and then, of course, the
Islamic coup de grace: slit the throat, bleed the body and cut the head off. Remember,
al-Qaida bragged the men were ''slaughtered like crusader animals.'' Then their bodies were wrapped and booby-trapped
and there were IEDs around the area.
Todays WSJ quoted an Army General describing
the recent killing of the two soldiers in Iraq by insurgents as barbarous.
2006.06.21 Outrage (No Joke)
Several infantry units in Viet Nam, Army and Marine, adopted a Take None, Give None approach to the subject of prisoners.
Menchaca and Tucker were bound. Then their captors slowly gouged out each of their eyes. Then their captors emasculated them and sewed up their private body parts in their mouths. Then their captors cut out their hearts.
I have searched the printed media this morning for profound reaction and found none. After all, we hear nothing but outrage and condemnation if lunch is served late at Guantanamo or if prison guards abuse captives to the extent of fraternity hazing at Abu Ghraib. If Marines clear a room like they are trained to do, by throwing in hand grenades first and then spraying the room with bullets, then thats atrocity and their lives should be taken or at least ruined.
But nothing about Menchaca and Tucker. Hmmmm.
I am completely pissed off.
Now dont get me wrong. I dont advocate doing what Al Qaeda In Iraq wants us to do. Their despicable conduct is designed, just like the 9/11 attack on New York and Washington were designed, (and 30 some other attacks listed below - Ted) to make us over-react. This so they could motivate the whole Muslim world against us. What Al Qaeda In Iraq wants is for our servicemen there to over-react and make enemies out of the people we are attempting by our presence and sacrifice to befriend.
But what I do say is that there must be no amnesty or leniency by us or any other nation, Muslim or not, for any member of Al Qaeda In Iraq (or elsewhere) in an effort to appease or buy peace. I would consider that an act of war. We must never stop searching for them. Never. And if it were up to me, each one captured would envy Menchaca and Tucker long, long before he or she eventually died. And when dead, he/she would be buried drenched in the blood of or with the carcass of a pig.

I followed these incidents but this Captain puts them together much better than I ever could. Notice no political comments or names are used, so you insert the people and see who did what. Ted

Captain Ouimette is the Executive Officer at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. Here
is a TRUE copy of the speech he gave in 2003. It is an accurate account of why we are in
so much trouble today and why this action is so necessary.

AMERICA NEEDS TO WAKE UP!
That's what we think we heard on the 11th of September 2001 (When more than 3,000
Americans were killed -AD) and maybe it was, but I think it should have been "Get Out
of Bed!" In fact, I think the alarm clock has been buzzing since 1979 and we have
continued to hit the snooze button and roll over for a few more minutes of peaceful sleep
since then.
It was a cool fall day in November 1979 in a country going through a religious and
political upheaval when a group of Iranian students attacked and seized the American
Embassy in Tehran. This seizure was an outright attack on American soil; it was an attack
that held the world's most powerful country hostage and paralyzed a Presidency. The attack
on this sovereign U. S .
America was still reeling from the aftermath of the Vietnam experience and had a
serious threat from the Soviet Union when then, President Carter, had to do something. He
chose to conduct a clandestine raid in the desert. The ill-fated mission ended in ruin,
but stood as a symbol of America's inability to deal with terrorism.
America's military had been decimated and down sized/right sized since the end of
the Vietnam War. A poorly trained, poorly equipped and poorly organized military was
called on to execute a complex mission that was doomed from the start.
Shortly after the Tehran experience, Americans began to be kidnapped and killed
throughout the Middle East. America could do little to protect her citizens living and
working abroad. The attacks against US
In April of 1983 a large vehicle packed with high explosives was driven into the US
Embassy compound in Beirut When it explodes, it kills 63 people. The alarm went off again
and America hit the Snooze Button once more.
Then just six short months later in 1983 a large truck heavily
laden down with over 2500 pounds of TNT smashed through the main gate of the US Marine
Corps headquarters in Beirut and 241 US servicemen are killed. America mourns her dead and
hit the Snooze Button once more.
Two months later in December 1983, another truck loaded with explosives is
driven into the US Embassy in Kuwait, and America continues her slumber.
The following year, in September 1984, another van was driven into the gate of the
US Embassy in Beirut and America slept.
Soon the terrorism spreads to Europe. In April 1985 a bomb explodes in a restaurant
frequented by US soldiers in Madrid.
Then in August 1985 a Volkswagen loaded with explosives is driven into the main
gate of the US Air Force Base at Rhein-Main, 22 are killed and the snooze alarm is buzzing
louder and louder as US interests are continually attacked.
Fifty-nine days later in 1985 a cruise ship, the Achille Lauro is
hijacked and we watched as an American in a wheelchair is singled out of the passenger
list and executed.
The terrorists then shift their tactics to bombing civilian airliners when they
bomb TWA Flight 840 in April of 1986 that killed 4 and the most tragic bombing, Pan Am
Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in1988, killing 259.
Clinton treated these terrorist acts as crimes; in fact we are still trying to
bring these people to trial. These are acts of war.
The wake up alarm is getting louder and louder.
The terrorists decide to bring the fight to America . In January 1993, two CIA
agents are shot and killed as they enter CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.
The following month, February 1993 , a group of terrorists are arrested after
a rented van packed with explosives is driven into the underground parking garage of the
World Trade Center in New York City. Six people are killed and over 1000 are injured.
Still this is a crime and not an act of war? The Snooze alarm is depressed again.
Then in November 1995 a car bomb explodes at a US military complex in Riyadh, Saudi
Arabia killing seven service men and women.
A few months later in June of 1996, another truck bomb explodes only 35 yards from
the US military compound in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. It destroys the Khobar Towers, a US Air
Force barracks, killing 19 and injuring over 500. The terrorists are getting braver and
smarter as they see that America does not respond decisively.
They move to coordinate their attacks in a simultaneous attack on two US embassies
in Kenya and Tanzania.. These attacks were planned with precision. They kill 224. America
responds with cruise missile attacks and goes back to sleep.
The USS Cole was docked in the port of Aden, Yemen for refueling on 12 October 2000
, when a small craft pulled along side the ship and exploded killing 17 US Navy Sailors.
Attacking a US War Ship is an act of war, but we sent the FBI to investigate the crime and
went back to sleep.
And of course you know the events of 11 September 2001. Most Americans think
this was the first attack against US soil or in America . How wrong they are. America has
been under a constant attack since 1979 and we chose to hit the snooze alarm and roll over
and go back to sleep.
In the news lately we have seen lots of finger pointing from
every high officials in government over what they knew and what they didn't know. But if
you've read the papers and paid a little attention I think you can see exactly what they
knew. You don't have to be in the FBI or CIA or on the National Security Council to see
the pattern that has been developing since 1979.
I think we have been in a war for the past 25 years and it will
continue until we as a people decide enough is enough. America needs to "Get out of
Bed" and act decisively now. America has been changed forever.. We have to be ready
to pay the price and make the sacrifice to ensure our way of life continues. We cannot
afford to keep hitting the snooze button again and again and roll over and go back to
sleep.
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Admiral Yamamoto said "... it seems all we
have done is awakened a sleeping giant." This is the message we need to disseminate
to terrorists around the world.
This is not a political thing to be hashed over in an election year this is an
AMERICAN thing. This is about our Freedom and the Freedom of our children in years to
come.
